My name is Tracie Borawski and I grew up in Marcy, NY. A graduate of both Whitesboro Central School and Utica College, I have always wanted to be involved in a business that would support the people of Central New York and local community organizations. Kidstuff Konsignments is that business. With over 16 years of experience as a retail management executive in both specialty and department store retail merchandising/operations, I know the retail cost of items, as well as the tremendous mark-up retailers attach to their merchandise. This sale provides the organization of a retail store and gives parents in the community a marketplace to sell their “gently used” children’s items, the option to help local families in need by donating their unsold items after the sale, and an opportunity as a shopper to save money on items they need or want for their children. For almost 10 years, I have had first-hand experience as both a consignor and shopper in one of these sales. On average per sale, I have earned between $200-$300, depending on the items I have submitted. This is a great way to turn your kid clutter into cash! Plus, I have had the opportunity to help those less fortunate in my community. Kidstuff Konsignments is a true family endeavor, as I have enlisted everyone in my family to be on the staff. My mother is my research and development leader, my step-mother is my general business partner, and she and my father also make up the logistics team, my bother is the web designer and maintainer of the website and my youngest sister is the volunteer coordinator.
